What Inspired this book

One day, while I was sitting at my desk in the office, feeling down about something, I can’t remember what exactly. I started to pray that the Lord would open a book of remembrance for me and my family. This prayer means that the Lord will remember a person for good and show up in whatever situation. Call it favour, or capture it as God bringing a big wow harvest of blessing for all your sacrifices, and good deeds to others, especially in fulfilling kingdom-related purposes.

So, here I was that day, praying and pouring out my heart to the Lord. Then the Holy Spirit gently nudges me in my heart, reminding me about several things the Lord has done in the past. I began to write them down in a jotter. Interestingly, each story or event captured started with, ‘Lord, I Remember’.
I was scribbling so fast, and before I knew it, I had written several pages of things the Lord had done. Then it occurred to me,
“If the Lord could do all these, then what else won’t he do for me?”
I realised that I often lose sight of what God has done for me. How the Lord Jesus, my saviour and friend, has led me through the years, how the Holy Spirit continues to whisper in my ears and heart, guiding, comforting,
leading, encouraging, teaching, delivering and more!
I had not been thankful enough.
I have belittled God.
I had thought that I needed God to remember me for good.
Meanwhile, I forget to remember all that he has done, too numerous to recount!

That day, I made up my mind to raise a wall of testimony; to pen down sweet memories of all that my heavenly father has done and continues to do
As I step into chapter 50 of my life, I thought the one all-important way to celebrate it was to create a Wall of Testimonies in this book, ‘Lord, I Remember.’
This is my sweet-smelling offering to the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
